Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee. (1 Timothy 4:16 KJV)
Take good heed therefore unto yourselves, that ye love the Lord your God, for we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip. For God will render to every man according to his deeds: To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life.
“And moreover, because the preacher was wise, he still taught the people knowledge; yea, he gave good heed, and sought out, and set in order many proverbs. The preacher sought to find out acceptable words: and that which was written was upright, even words of truth.
Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.”
Ecclesiastes 12:9-10, 13-14 KJV
