“Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.”
James 3:13 KJV
Who is as the wise man and who knoweth the interpretation of a thing? A man’s wisdom maketh his face to shine, and the boldness of his face shall be changed. Whoso keepeth the commandment shall feel no evil thing: and a wise man’s heart discerneth both time and judgment. Jesus said, ‘Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock.’
Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, And for his wonderful works to the children of men!
For he satisfieth the longing soul, And filleth the hungry soul with goodness.
And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, And declare his works with rejoicing.
Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people, And praise him in the assembly of the elders.
Psalm 107:8-9, 22, 32 KJV
Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, Than to divide the spoil with the proud.
He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good: And whoso trusteth in the LORD, happy is he.
The wise in heart shall be called prudent: And the sweetness of the lips increaseth learning.
Understanding is a wellspring of life unto him that hath it: But the instruction of fools is folly.
The heart of the wise teacheth his mouth, And addeth learning to his lips.
Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, Sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.
There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, But the end thereof are the ways of death.
Proverbs 16:19-25 KJV
Whoso is wise, and will observe these things, Even they shall understand the lovingkindness of the LORD.
Psalm 107:43 KJV
Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his Lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?
Blessed is that servant, whom his Lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
Matthew 24:45-46 KJV
