“Serve the LORD with fear, And rejoice with trembling.”
Psalm 2:11 KJV
God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all them that are about Him. Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. Receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: for our God is a consuming fire.
The works of the LORD are great, Sought out of all them that have pleasure therein.
The works of his hands are verity and judgment; All his commandments are sure.
They stand fast for ever and ever, And are done in truth and uprightness.
He sent redemption unto his people: He hath commanded his covenant for ever: Holy and reverend is his name.
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: A good understanding have all they that do his commandments: His praise endureth for ever.
Psalm 111:2, 7-10 KJV
